VIA Adult Survey Translations
The VIA Survey was developed by renowned psychologist, Christopher Peterson, Ph.D., and was originally 240-questions. In 2013, the VIA Institute validated and launched an abbreviated version of the VIA Survey that is 120-questions.
Most recently, over a 2-year period, VIA's Senior Scientist, Robert McGrath, Ph.D., conducted a complete revision of the VIA Survey to shorten the survey, make improvements to individual strength scales, detail the development and validation process, and create a structured system for translations. We now offer this updated 96-question VIA Survey on the website. It is currently available in English and we are working on translations in other languages. The languages in bold are the newly updated 96-question version. All other languages are the 120-question VIA Survey.
